On Thursday 26 March, LEAP organised and facilitated an interactive breakfast seminar for all entrepreneurs on the WorleyParsons Enterprise Development programme.
In 2011, WorleyParsons (previously TWP) partnered with LEAP to establish an Enterprise Development Programme, which integrates small black-owned businesses into their broader industry networks. This programme provides entrepreneurs with office space, transport, personal assistants, business coaching and mentoring, thereby ultimately providing the opportunity for these businesses to grow their networks.
Deven Govender, a director from Deloitte, was one of the guest speakers at the event. He gave the entrepreneurs insights into the mining industry landscape and the opportunities that exist for entrepreneurs from the sector.
Bruce Turner, owner of The Bespoke Amenities Company, provided the entrepreneurs with information on how to overcome the challenges any start-up business faces, like obtaining funding, first customers and taking a share of the pie from existing market leaders through excellent customer care and innovative product offering.
LEAP would like to thank the speakers, contributors and everyone attending the seminar for a very successful event.
